To all the married yoyoers:
how does your ring interact with your yoyo? I just carved a nasty groove in a FHZ and have in the past knocked some impressive dents into various aluminum yoyos with my wedding ring. After many years of marriage, my ring is not so easy to pry loose so I just deal with it, but what do you do?

If I am throwing my yoyos, I tend to leave it on, but I take it off for others out of respect for their yoyos. It makes a cool burning smell when it hit the titanium though.

What? are all of you guys left handed? If not, how the heck is your yoyo getting to the last joint on your wedding finger??
I had a pinky ring on my right hand that would occasionally clip the yoyo when catching a bind... Ive since stopped wearing that... mostly cause my Karate Master Instructor asked me to... lol...
but my wedding ring, naw, that never hits the yoyo, unless Im using my left hand to deflect a really bad bind that is headed for my face... Ive not noticed it hitting the yoyo any other way.. and my wedding ring is Titanium... I should try to invent a sparking Grind using it.. hmmmm.....
I voted for Leave it On, but not because I dont care about dings... my ring really isnt an issue for me whatsoever.

Never had an issue, personally.
And I have a big-honkin', hardcore, tungsten-steel alloy ring. I routinely drag my ring across concrete to demonstrate its durability, so I'm pretty sure a yoyo would lose in a fight with my ring.
ALTHOUGH I usually take it off when using someone else's metal yoyo just as a courtesy. Same goes with instruments.

Unless you punch the yoyo, I don't see how can you ding it while playing. It doesn't even make a difference.

When I play 2A it would slam the ring occassionally on a catch. 1A, naw. I just got divorced. No worries at all now.

to clarify, i wear the ring on my left hand, but sometimes when i play 5a i switch hands (or try to) back and forth.
also, the ring is tungsten carbide, i don't imagine it would happen with a soft gold ring.

um, I am a mechanic, who occasionally deals with high voltage(hybrids) and is ALWAYS jimmying my monkey hands into tight spots.
It's how I make my pittance.
Sooooo, untill I can get one inked in, my band lives on my keychain.
This one is #3 btw.
1 Stolen ( off keychain, ironically.)
1 Smashed/cut off.
Anyway, yea I throw with nekkid hands.
Show this to your wives if they think you're "bad"
And I didn't vote cuz I don't like "boxes"
If I don't like what you are saying, I will just change the meaning of the words.
